About Me

Thank you for coming!

My name is Kylara (actually it is my nickname, even my family call me that).  I am 39 years young, unfortunately in January I will be the big 40.  I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada (near London), and I have lived here most of my life.  I live with G who is the most amazing man I have ever had the privilege of knowing.  We both have kids, but none are living under the same roof anymore.  It is so unbelievably quiet in this house, since both 20 year old boys have moved out.  We have two cute dogs that we get a lot of pleasure/laughter from.

I started this blog because after living in this house for 2 years, I really want to make it our home.  I want to get back into living bit by bit, as I have been pretty much bed bound for 2 years.  I am disabled and unable to work anymore due to physical and mental health issues.  Some of the issues I face are; Crohn's Disease, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, High Blood Pressure, 1 heart attack to name a few.  I have been on heavy pain killers for 2.5 years to just be able to get through a day.  If I do get up, and cook a meal, or visit with a friend, it exhausts me and sometimes (who am i kidding, most times LOL) it can take a few days of sleeping to just get back to normal.  All these issues are internal ones, I don't always look sick, so its hard for some people to understand that I am not well.

I have had a couple of very rough years, and although nothing really has changed, I am trying very hard to get up and do some crafts and get to cooking now and then.  I have in the last 5 months had to move into the home office (which is really tiny) on the main floor of our house so I do not have to go up and down the stairs all day.  That is what sparked me to want to decorate in here so I can feel a little more at home in my bedroom.  I also love doing crafts in general and always have.

I look forward to sharing more with you about myself in the future but wanted to put something up on this page for the moment so you would have a wee peak at who is behind the screen of this here blog.

I will also be putting a picture up in the following week.

I hope that you stick around and take this journey with me  Feel free to follow/subscribe to the blog, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by,
Kylara
